Exciting News! The Friends of the Joaquin Moraga Adobe now own the historic 1841 adobe

On June 29th , supporters of the Moraga Adobe celebrated an important milestone with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the adobe. This event commemorated the completion of the restoration of the oldest home in Contra Costa County and the subsequent purchase of the adobe and its surrounding two plus acres by the Friends of the Joaquin Moraga Adobe.

That same week, California State Senator Steve Glazer presented FJMA with a State Park grant check for $250,000.  Landscaping and museum planning are now underway and the goal is to get this historic property opened to the public by the end of 2024.
