Step inside Contra Costa County’s oldest surviving home, and experience over 180 years of East Bay history.
During this docent-led tour of the Joaquin Moraga Adobe, you’ll learn about the Adobe’s restoration, the Moraga family legacy, and the early California rancho era that shaped our community.
Each tour lasts about 60–90 minutes and is limited to 15 guests to preserve the site and ensure a personal experience. Please arrive a few minutes early for check-in and parking.

- Tours are free, but advance registration is required due to limited capacity.
- Parking is available on site; carpooling is encouraged.
- Wear comfortable shoes and please no high heels —some surfaces are uneven.
- Tours are given rain or shine.

Limited parking is available near the site. Wheelchair access is available.
What to bring
We recommend layers for changing weather, comfortable walking shoes, and a sense of curiosity. Photography for personal use is welcome unless otherwise noted.
